Turbostar

A strong memory from my childhood years is when the Fiat group launched a new heavy truck line that would have become very popular on italian and European roads for more than two decades.
Like every kid I was drawing trucks and tractors while listening to the teacher talks while at school at the age of 6. And I probably drew the Turbostar hundreds of times.
It was basically my superhero, ready to save me in times of need.
Gone to production in the early 80s it had all V8 diesel engines and featured a roomy and comfortable cabin very well equipped for the era. In 1992 the 476hp engine arrived making the Iveco Turbostar the most powerful among the Scanias, Mercedes, Volvos, Mans, Dafs, Renaults.
